Ladies, I don’t know about you but as I’ve gotten older it has been increasingly hard to stay committed to my physical fitness. Around late March I get super motivated and join a gym but then around late June I start to get a little relaxed in my workout regiment. I may miss a couple days in the week and forget to workout on the weekends because I’ve filled my schedule with brunches with friends and vacations on beaches. And let’s face it, when we go on vacation the last thing we want to do is stop having a great time just to do some burpees. But ladies, we MUST stay committed to maintaining our physical health because I truly believe the path to a longer life, and healthy joints, is to remain consistent with your physical activity.
Here are Five great ways to stay committed to a physical lifestyle:
Hire a Personal Trainer-The benefits of having a personal trainer are astounding. You have someone who spends their daily lives committed to fitness so there’s no excuses. Personal trainers are a great source to create a variety of workouts so you don’t get bored with doing the same old routines. Personal trainers are also great at holding you accountable to your physical fitness goals. And They are excellent sources of helping to create a dietary plan that suits your lifestyle.
Get an Accountability Partner-An accountability parter can be a friend who has an already established fitness lifestyle or someone seeking to reach the same goals as you. When you have someone else depending on you to stay committed, it gives you more of an incentive to stay on track.
Create an In-Home Gym-By having in-home workout equipment this helps to alleviate the excuses. No matter what the weather or how busy your schedule is, you will have access to a workout in the comfort of your own home.
Walk, Run, or Bike 30 Minutes Daily-If you cannot afford in-home gym equipment, no worries. You can go outside and walk, run, or ride a bike for 30 minutes a day. It costs you absolutely nothing. And besides, some exercise is better than NONE and don’t we all just love the great outdoors?
Find a Physical Hobby-If walking, running or biking doesn’t fit your fitness desires then find a hobby that you can do. Gardening, dance classes, cleaning the house, yoga, join a sports team, and even walking around the mall for some retail therapy is a good source of exercise. If you do one of these things a day, you will have a lifestyle full of activity…and a closet full of clothes.
Ladies, don’t let the idea of a daily workout routine get you down but remember we cannot take over the world by sitting on the couch eating Bon Bon’s. Take it one day at a time and then one day you’ll look up and you’ll be doing some kind of activity three to five days a week. That is an epic feat because we are EPIC! Remember you deserve a happy and healthy lifestyle AND above all else remember to DateYourselfGirl!
